Modern, minimal everyday carry
for the James Dean to the James Bond
in all of us.

The James Brand was created in Portland, Oregon in 2012 by a group of designers and adventurers who were looking for something better. Based on the adage that if you can’t find what you want, you might have to make it yourself, they decided to put pen to paper and design something new: products made with premium materials, a minimalist design aesthetic, and clear attention to the details. They make knives and tools that are a better reflection of their values and lives. Modern, minimal everyday carry is what the James brand is all about. All day. Every Day.

The JAMES Brand approached me to create their first brand anthem video.

I love good product. And good people. The folks over at the James brand check both boxes with a big fat bold X. This was an amazing opportunity to give voice to the brand, and tell its story. The design aesthetic matches my own goal of being simple, premium and functional. No bells and whistles. Just what you need. When you need it. No more. No less.

Aligning with brands that represent who you are makes the work an organic process. You’re in a flow state with the client and the results speak for themselves. When you watch the James Brand anthem, you understand who they are, what they make and why they do it.

I was responsible for creative direction and ever facet of production through final delivery.

“We loved working with Andrew and his team. In a short amount of time, he was able to translate our vision into a finished piece that really represents our brand with zero headaches or heartache.

His standards are very high, and so is the quality of his finished product. It’s clear, he is passionate, professional and highly flexible. We can’t wait to do more with him!”
