After its acquisition by Royal Aloha, Inc., the Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii brand was prepared to make a sizable splash on both the Hawaiian Islands and the rest of the continental United States. As the company was in early growth with its franchise model across the US, I partnered with the brand to provided brand strategy, creative direction and design, drive awareness through paid social media strategy / planning and execution, on-location branded content shoots in Hawaii (still and video), digital advertising, as well as limited time offer campaigns and speciality merchandise design.

My deep understanding of Hawaiian culture helped develop the multi-faceted voice of the brand, as I shaped its narrative for an ever expanding audience. Since the beginning of the partnership, I’ve helped the company redesign and launch it’s website, release its mobile app, launch a loyalty program, open dozens of new locations across the U.S. and secure dozens more new franchise deals. The brand has seen exponential growth in their social media presence and in overall franchise and enterprise revenue year to date. The results have been nothing short of being “badass”—pun 100% intended.
